Who decides that November 30 is a great afternoon/night to create, source materials and make an Advent calendar?
Just me :)
And….
It’s done! Mum and I worked on it for almost three hours last night… But we are so happy with the result and it even turned out almost exactly like the picture I had in my head! The flags have a red felt pocket on them – just the right size for one (yes, only one) chocolate coin. The kids are going to take it in turns to pick each day… I like to think of it as a lesson is sharing!
Thanks so much for your over-locking skills, Mum :)
I wanted to add that before I made my mind up about this particular creation, I had been pouring over a few different Advent calendars online -
Kelly @ Be a Fun Mum made this awesome envelope one.
Kate @ Picklebums shared this with everyone. Her Mum is so good too!
Caz @ A Little Learning for Two made this felt and canvas creation. I’m still thinking about making this one as well. I love the simplicity and effectiveness of the shapes.
This Lego one would impress the pants off the boys.

Hey Meegs,
Have just been catching up on your blog – I’m so impressed by all your cooking and crafting creations. Great job!
Love Cath
Thanks Cath! Would you believe the boys and I forgot about the calendar almost every second day?! Even though we all walk past it a million times a day… Actually, that’s probably why!
xo
we got the lego ones!!! :)
Aaaaaand????!!!!
Is it good????
Oh, and I like the taking turns. I’m doing that too with my four. They have to wait their turn…
We’ll see how it goes… Reuben (2) is not the greatest turn taker!!! Hope your four are better at it!
You made that in one night?? AMAZING! Looks gorgeous!
LOL!!! Yes, yes we did… I tend to do these crazy things and rope others in with me! :D
Oh well done you – that looks awesome! You should be so proud of yourself!
Awe thanks Beck! I think mum and I did a good job too :)
I am waiting for my turn to have a chocolate. Which number can I have for my help?
Yeah. Good luck with that one Mum!
You know Owen and Reuben aren’t likely to share a day with you!!!!
:)
That’s fantastic Meegan :)
This is really something the kids can look back on, compared with a dora the explorer one from Woolies.
Colour me impressed.
Thanks Tim! I can’t get over how long it took to make…
No wonder these people on esty etc charge so much for their wares!
