This is how we spent our Labour Day morning – with the Ostenfeld’s at Northshore Park. My new favourite place to take the kids. Rolling hills, the best grass ever, a rocky dry river bed, a wooden bridge, boats sailing past, the best grass ever, excellent ammenities, the best grass ever, heaps of parking, a cafe near by, a small no-swimming beach, heaps of bike riding and scootering track, oh and did I mention, the. best. grass. ever???!!! I could talk about the grass all day!
The big kids (including Shane and Marc) played hard for almost three hours while Nic and I took photos, cuddled Ella, picked kids up off the ground and generally supervised. There is enough space that all the kids could scoot and ride around without getting in any trouble, the open spaces are huge, and there’s enough room to have a game of cricket or soccer or fly a kite. Next time, we will take a sausage or two and stay for a BBQ lunch I think!
