Sleep is for the weak

Reuben and Ella are ganging up on us, their parents.  Over the last couple of weeks these two have kept Marc and I on our toes, not only during the day but over night too.  Owen is smart and  is staying way out of things by sleeping through anything and everything that these two littlest people can throw his, and our way during the night.  Seriously.  Take last night for instance.  Everything was fine and dandy in the Harvey household until about 10:00pm. It was then the small night terrors, more commonly referred to as Reuben and Ella, began their shenanigans.  Tag teaming their way through yet another restless night of teething from Reuben and snuffly nose from Ella.  It wasn’t until, oh, about 2:30am that I decided, in my sleep deprived wisdom, that maybe poor Reuben needed a good old dose of our favourite medicine, Neurofen, and a drink of milk to settle him down for what was left of the night.  It worked!  Yeah, I know.  Four hours ealier would have been smarter and better…!  The other one however, well you can’t do too much for a snotty nosed 9 week old now, can you?  Nope.  And all the while, Owen is completely unaware that his siblings are keeping everyone up most of the night!

This is what Ella and Reuben look like right now.  Pity I could take similar pictures last night!

I seriously don’t know how you are coping….  Last night Miss G was up for about 30 mins and that about wiped us out….  My hat goes off to you!
