Owen began his soccer career at Albany Hills Excelsior on Saturday morning, which meant that I became a Soccer Mum. Yep. Me. Not a hat that ever really crossed my mind as one that I would wear. It’s a good fit though. Kindy Soccer is fun, not to mention FUNNY! Owen was, as he usually is, very enthusiastic and even managed to listen to his coach (for the most part) for the hour that the kids ran around like little crazy people. He made a big (good) impression on his coach, who happens to be the ACE head coach – nice!
There are five teams in Kindy Soccer, consisting of approximately 12 kids per team. After watching the Owen’s coach for an hour, they must have the patience of a saint! While all the kids tried hard, following directions is obviously not a strong skill for anyone under 5!!! They had fun though, which is the most important thing, so I’m told.
Next Saturday they will all get their soccer gear, and look all cute and professional…
Owen advises us that he can’t wait to look like part of the winning team, that will be getting a gold medal…
GO YELLOW TEAM!!!!

You were the “star” Owen – keep up the enthusiasm!
