Unconcious weening?

Today has been the first day in a long while where I’ve been home alone for a block of time (well Reuben is here and asleep, but that is close enough to alone for me!) and able to sit down and catch up on some of my favourite blogs from the past month and a bit.

I had been really looking forward to this catch up time, but now it’s here, I’m not overly enthused about it.

Do I go back and read everything that has happened on every blog that I’ve missed?

Do I skim the numerous posts?

Do I just start again from today, and not play catch up?

Or… Do I just forget the whole lot altogether?

I don’t think I could completely cut off all blog reading.   That would be comparable to giving up peanut m&ms…  So, very unlikely!  :0)

But.

Blog reading does have the ability to time suck.  Badly.  And really all that time spent on blogs could and SHOULD be spent doing productive things around our house or with the boys.

hmmm

Might have to think about this one for a while.

And in the meantime, I’ll keep the blog reading to a minimum and see what happens…

Oh and here’s the latest pic of the boys from this morning:

  • Cath – I have thought about doing that but just have never gotten around to it….

Mum – That’s exactly right….  I’m not going to think about dusting again until you do it when you visit! Ha ha ahaha aha

Why worry about dusting in July Meegs, you know I will do it when I come as I can’t stand dust on black.

  • Yes, me too. I am trying to keep my blog going for that very purpose – a record to pass on to the kids. I’ve actually had one year of the blog printed into a hardcover book. It’s really cool!

  • Mum – Done!  Now I won’t need to worry about it until oh July!!!!!!

Cath – I still want to keep our blog going, as it is a journal of all the kids milestones and memories, as much as it is mine and Marc’s.  But I definitely won’t be updating nearly as often as I used to… I don’t think.
You never know though, I might rediscover my blogging motivation one day!

  • Meegs, I am going through the exact same thing at the moment! A whole week can pass by before I realise that I haven’t read any blogs, let alone updated my own blog.  And I haven’t missed it either. Perhaps the blogging craze is slowly coming to an end…

And yes, that probably is a good thing for me too in terms of getting more productive things done.  Alison, I’m going to go and check the state of my black furniture now!! :-)

Maybe you could do some dusting of your black furniture Meegan.
