I have a thing for nice kitchens. Ask Marc, and he’ll just roll his eyes. But in my defense – I like to cook. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. They have to be practical, functional, stylish, functional, big on storage, contain a fantastic pantry, functional, easy to keep clean pleasing to the eye, functional, a sociable place. Did I mention functional?! This may all stem for my love of all things Tupperware and being organised. Or it may come from living with my Mum and her very organised kitchen. Everything has a home and everything is easily accessible – even all those pesky Tupperware lids!
Anyway, I don’t like our kitchen all that much and I’ve been looking at other people’s kitchens for some inspiration. Like from this one in the picture (from a house for sale on realestate.com.au). I’m loving the glass splash back thing at the moment (especially this one in red. Love the red…), and the uncluttered benches and that oh-so-lovely stove… I know you can’t see a pantry in this picture, but I’m sure it would be just as nice as the rest of this kitchen. I even like the window between the dining room and the kitchen. Would it be a bad/strange thing to go to an open house, just to look at the kitchen, I wonder?!
