Tuesday’s List

Carrying on the theme from yesterday, here’s my list for today.  I’ve actually crossed all but numbers 4,5 and 8 already today and it hasn’t even cracked midday yet.

Since my parents are arriving tonight, I can guarantee you there won’t be a list for the rest of the week.  I’m sure we are going to be kept busy enough without having to do chores around home!

Posting my Monday List kept me somewhat accountable for what I needed to get done yesterday that’s not routine.  I’m not going to put Do the washing up or Make beds on there.  These are things that just get done, everyday.  But I do put things like Washing on there when I’ve got an unusually large amount of it to do.  Makes me feel like I’m getting more done if I can cross it off as complete at the end of the day.

What makes you ‘get the stuff done’?  My Mum is one of the most orgainsed people I know, yet the only list she keeps (that I know of) is a shopping list, handily located on the fridge.  Dad has even been trained to add to it when he runs out of something or other!  My sister and I both write lists for all sorts of reasons.  Marc is a half-hearted list maker.  For example, he had a few things he wanted to do over the weekend so he jotted them down on the back of an envelope and I don’t think he referred back to it again all weekend.  Perhaps there are those that just need to practice the action of orgainsing and physically writing down their thoughts to recall what they want to do, and then not need to refer to the list again?

I do better myself if I have a list of things to do. I made a list for myself yesterday that consisted of 6 things, and I was able to cross 5 of them off. That’s considered a good day, in my book. lol
