When the old is new again
Like father, like son.
The garage and airport hanger Owen is obsessed with were built with lots of love by Marc’s Grandad when Marc was just a little boy (so probably some 27 or more years ago). These two, plus nearly all of Marc’s car collection (I think he has every single toy from his childhood still!) had to be pulled out into the middle of the kitchen floor every time we visited Mia and Pa at their house. Owen was lucky enough to have these personally delivered to him when Mia and Pa came down for a visit not long ago.
Just as Marc once did, Owen gets hours and hours of joy out of these two simple, but very clever toys that Grandad made from everyday things around the house.
I’m just hoping that they stand up to Owen playing with them for a long time to come. I think he would be devastated if they had to be put away (for preservation!) or given to the garbage man.
