Happy 3rd Birthday Owen!

We cannot believe our little boy is now a big three year old!

This may be the first and last time that he wasn’t interested in all his presents as soon as he saw them.

He just wanted to open the cards – in the beginning :o)  I won’t expect this next year!

The Snake Cake worked out better than I had anticipated.

Owen was suitably impressed and it tasted good too!

He didn’t want to wait for us to sing Happy Birthday to him – just get straight to the blowing out of the candles already!

Finally!  Putting out the candles.  We even let him cut the cake, sharp knife and all :o)

This morning we all (Mia, Pa, Marc, Owen and I) went to see an early session of Kung Fu Panda, then lunch out and home in time for a nap while the snake cake got a good dose of icing and jubes ready for the birthday afternoon tea.  Now it’s finally time to investigate all his presents… There is a whole lot of Lego to build, Ninja Turtles to fight with and cars to crash.  Not to mention the new stories we’ve got to read and plenty of sticker-ing and colouring in to do!  It’s already a tough life being three :o)

Happy Birthday Owie.

Love you xxx

Why have you put 5 candles on the cake Meegs?

@Jode: Awe thanks Jode :o) This was a relatively simple one to do. I even cheated this year and used 2 packets cake mixes!

@ Alison: Well, Owen had to have 5 candles. Not three. Had to be five.
You’ll have to ask him all about that one :o)
