Since I usually have anywhere from an hour, up to two hours free when Owen is napping each day, I’ve been grabbing my lap top, putting my feet up on the couch and doing a lot a bit of blog surfing. Mainly I’ve been focusing on new recipe ideas (making more from scratch), budgeting clues/ideas (keeping me motivated now we are only on one wage for a while) and general frugal living/making-the-most-of-what-you-have-on-hand (inspiring me to not race to the supermarket for that must-have ingredient/thing!) type blogs.
Up until today I hadn’t found any that were Australian. It seems these themes of blog tend to be mostly American, or written by American’s living elsewhere on this planet of ours, and of these I haven’t found any that are based in Australia. Not that this is a problem, but any resources they use etc aren’t usually accessible to me, unless they are an online store/resource. But today I found an Australian blog that I really enjoyed reading and have already added to my blog list – Journeyer’s Chronicles. This blog is not entirely about money matters, but also about life in general for this family of five living in regional Victoria.
Here’s the links of some of the web sites I’ve started returning to recently:
Has anyone got anymore blogs they can suggest I have a squiz at?
@ Kelly: Thanks for the links, I’ll be checking those out as soon as I can!
Thanks for the link- I’m glad you are enjoying the blog. (I have an Owen too, by the way!) I agree, most of the blogs out there tend to be written by Americans, although I don’t know why hat is. I know that Plonkee is British (http://plonkee.com/) as is Notes From The Frugal Trenches (http://notesfromthefrugaltrenches.com/). No Australian ones though!
