It’s Freezing… Literally!

I went to get in the car this morning and there was a heap of condensation on the windscreen.  No problems I think, I’ll just turn on the wipers.  Nope, that didn’t work.  Maybe it’s on the inside somehow?  Nope, nothing there.  Must be on the outside, hang on that’s ice.  Took me ten minutes to warm up the windscreen enough to get rid of the ice.

Now I’ve got to set my alarm based on whether the weather is really cold or not.

Unbelievable.  In Brisbane we couldn’t keep our freezer cold enough to make ice, in Sydney it comes for free on my car.  I can’t imagine what it would be like in Europe where that is the norm rather than the exception.

I think that’s why they invented “remote start” – so you can get your car running from inside your toasty warm kitchen 10 minutes before you need to go anywhere.

I certainly remember walking to the tube in winter, and seeing lots of people frantically scraping ice from their windscreens before they could leave for work. TFL even gave out free ice scrapers for people who wanted them! (We took one to defrost our freezer :-D).

I love the fact that Owen and I stayed in our nice warm house not didn’t knowing that Marc was sitting in his car right outside our front door for those 10 minutes. Sorry Marc!

I would also like to add that we didn’t even have the heat on during the night/this morning and I didn’t think it was that cold, but apparently I was wrong :o)

You are going to need to get a garage, OR “remote start”. I vote for both!
