This morning Owen allowed me to accompany him and Nana to Story Time at the Grange Library. After all morning telling me that I wasn’t allowed to come, just as he was about to walk out the door, he changed his mind at let me into his and Nana’s World of Little Kid Things They Do. I’m not normally allowed into this little world of Owen and Nana, but perhaps this morning was an exception? Who knows!
So off to Story Time I went and it was crazy in there.
There were all these kids, parents, more kids, more parents, oh a few more kids (just for good measure) and one poor staff member attempting to read a few books to the kids, sing a couple of nursery rhymes and do some stretching… To say it was controlled chaos would be an overstatement. But the kids all seem to love it, even if they don’t sit still and be quiet while the poor lady reads to them!
Half an hour and one beautiful sticker covered, pipecleanered flower later (craft always follows after stories) Owen told us we were ready to go home now.
And that was the end of story time!
Cath and Ang warned me that Story Time has nothing on the Mainly Music experience, so if I’m allowed to go (and I survive) this Thursday I’ll let you know what that’s like :o)
