I’ve been converted to online grocery shopping. There are many, many more pros than cons for me to grocery shop this way, and even though I incure a $9.90 delivery charge, my grocery bill is lower than if I were to shop at the normal supermarket. Plus I get to do even more stuff online! In case you didn’t already know – if there’s a way to do anything online, thus alleviating the need to have any contact with the unpredictable world of Customer Service, I will :)
I’ve saved money, I didn’t buy things we need want need, Owen wasn’t cranky cause I was traipsing him round the country side when he feels he should be playing or napping, the quality is way better that what we get in the local supermarkets in Brisbane/Gold Coast, and it’s delivered to your door! Well, to Mum and Dad’s door. They don’t deliver to our suburb as yet. But that works well for me too – I just pick up the groceries when I pick up Owen after work.
Here’s an example of the exemplary service I received – I order a half butternut pumpkin:
Just another reason I will be ordering my groceries again next week :)

I agree. The quality of the fresh fruit and vegies from fooddirect.com.au is far superior to the supermarket.
And the free recipes are cool too! Tell me if you have any success with the Black Forest Gateaux (and I’ll try and figure out where I went wrong!!)?? It’s the only Food Direct recipe I’ve tried that hasn’t worked out. The rest have been superb!
