Back in Town

After four days in Sydney it’s really good to be back in town. The thing I always hate about conferences, is that you go to nice places, stay in nice hotels, go to different places for dinner, but never actually get time to see the sights.

In the last year I have been to Sydney, probably 8 times, this week was the first I actually made it to the city, but still didn’t see a lot of it. We saw a little as we drove down copious amounts of one way streets to get places that would have been quicker to walk to, but not your normal tourist places. We walked through the rocks on the way back to the hotel a few times but that was about it. Oh well, better than going to awful places and having plenty of time with nothing to do I suppose.

The highlight really is just in catching up with all the guys from other states for a drink or two and a good laugh. At the end of the day there are much worse things to be doing!!

BTW: New photos of Owen from June are now in the photo gallery

I know what you mean about not getting time to look around. Most of my interstate trips are the same. I have been lucky with the past few though and had some time to see a bit of the city.

Well they could always send you to Port Hedland. You would probably be glad not to see the sights and be stuck in the motel. :)
