Coughs, colds, teeth and other things

It’s definitely coming into winter – all three of us have the dreaded cold :( Marc was feeling it pretty bad at the beginning of the week – enough so that he cancelled his week in Rockhampton. Driving for a whole day feeling crappy and then having to speak to people isn’t exactly ideal when you’re not even feeling up to moving off the couch!Owen’s not so bad, just a runny nose, but he’s cut through another couple of teeth as well this week so hasn’t been his normal happy self either.

I have had very special treatment from Cath and Grant – I think they have been feeling very sorry for me, and my funny voice and sniffily nose! We have had magic green juice (don’t know exactly what was in it, but surprisingly it tasted pretty good) to make the germs disappear and Grant wanted me to eat RAW GARLIC. Is he crazy? My hand goes up for the yes vote! But he says it does you wonders… I think I’ll stick to the tablet form, but thanks very much all the same :)

Because of Easter Monday and school holidays etc, work has been a little bit quiet this week for me (Grant, on the other hand, has had heaps to do!) – only 1.5 days this week, but we made the most of the lull by heading out to Hogs Breath for a belated birthday lunch. We all had the salmon on a bed of ceaser salad, and it was so good! I would be happy to recommend it the next time anyone visits’s Hogs Breath.

Not much planned for this weekend, just a quiet one we think.  We do have a volley ball open day this afternoon so I’ll try and get a few action shots of everyone on the court!

Ha ha – did it take you this long to figure out that Grant is a little cuckoo? ;-)

Grant and I would like to second that the salmon caesar salad at Hog’s Breath is awesome!

Nelly was also a big supporter of the raw garlic remedy. She also recommends you do a shot of apple cider viniger in the mornings!
