As Meegs mentioned in the previous post we decided we needed a fence to separate Neo and Owen while he is still young. So, after several weeks of planning we got into it, and finished it today.
Morrie and Alison came down bright and early, just after 6am so we could get most of the work done while it was still shady.
All was going well until I opened my mouth and said, “I hope there is no pipes under here…”. Of course there was, thankfully we only just nicked it and there was no major damage done. So we had to move the post slightly to make the gate fit. Nothing that a bit of brain storming can’t fix!
Apart from that the whole job went really smoothly. I introduced Morrie to the wonders of Rapid Set concrete and saved some for Dad to fix up where his old clothes line was. The whole fence is now quite solid, but due to some clever design should take only an hour or two to pull down when we move, and leave no sign of it being there!
I will say one thing though, if you want a new fence, Mum has the name of a really good guy. He’ll do it in a quarter of the time it took us!! But considering it only cost us about $50 to build I’m really happy with the result, Neo isn’t quite as happy, but he’ll get over it!!

WOW!! it looks excellent! well done dad and marc!
be nice to sit on the patio, and just wave politely to neo on the other side of the fence!!
