New Layout coming soon…..

I’ve been working on a new design for our site for a few weeks now when I’ve had spare time. This will now be done through WordPress instead of Blogger, due to increased capabilities and wanting to not be reliant on so many different servers for the site.

I still have a few minor things to tidy up but would love some feedback on the new design. If you can have a look and let me know what you think I would really appreciate it.

There are a couple of themes that you can select from, Neptune is the one that most of the work has been put into, however this will follow through to the others as I get a chance.

The two main things that need to be done are the banners and finding a better place to host. Hopefully these will be done within the next week or two and we will then migrate over.

Still think “Neat!” is my favourite theme.

BTW: You’ve got it set up so that only registered users can comment, so don’t expect too many replies for your “Leave your thoughts here” story ;-)

I’m with G-pants. I think Neat is cooler too.

If you wait another month or two you can use the getblogged.net software that G and I are writing.

Except you’d have to be running off an ASP.NET server.

Don’t know how much you want to pay for web hosting, but SeekDotNet have a great package, USD$105 for 15 months (about $7.80/mo), heaps of web space plus 1 MSSQL DB!!

Was actually looking at seek dot net for hosting. The aanet free site is too slow and not enough webspace to run a photo gallery from.

That and the fact that $13us /year for a .com domain name seems to be money well spent!

$13/year is expensive.

Go to GoDaddy, they’re $3.95 or $8.95 to register completely privately so that no-one can get your details.

And it’s no hassle to get the domain name through one company and host through another, I’ve done it heaps of times and am happy to help out!
